2. Halal Verification Levels
Products bearing the "Certified Halal" badge have:
- Valid halal certification from a recognized certification body
- Certification documents verified by HalalHub
- Current and unexpired certification status
Accepted Certification Bodies: ISNA, IFANCA, HFA, MUI, JAKIM, and other internationally recognized Islamic organizations.
Products bearing the "Self-Declared" badge have:
- Seller attestation that products comply with halal requirements
- Signed declaration form on file with HalalHub
- Commitment to halal sourcing and handling practices
Note: Self-declaration is based on seller honesty. Buyers should contact sellers directly for specific halal concerns.
3. Seller Verification Process
For Certified Sellers
- Submit valid halal certification documents
- Certification reviewed by HalalHub team
- Verification of certification body authenticity
- Annual renewal and re-verification required
For Self-Declared Sellers
- Complete halal self-declaration form
- Acknowledge responsibility for halal compliance
- Provide ingredient and sourcing information
- Subject to customer reviews and monitoring
4. Halal Requirements
All products sold as halal on HalalHub must:
- Contain no pork or pork by-products
- Contain no alcohol or intoxicants
- Not contain any haram (forbidden) ingredients
- Be prepared, processed, and stored separately from non-halal items
- For meat products: be slaughtered according to Islamic guidelines (Zabiha)
5. Monitoring & Enforcement
We actively monitor halal compliance through:
- Regular review of certification expiration dates
- Investigation of customer complaints
- Random verification audits
- Community feedback and reports
Violations
Sellers found misrepresenting halal status will face immediate suspension and potential permanent ban from the platform. Affected buyers will receive full refunds.
6. Report a Concern
If you believe a product is incorrectly labeled or not halal, please report it immediately:

- Open a dispute through your order page

All reports are investigated within 48 hours.
7. Buyer Responsibility
